I am an introvert. I process most things by myself in my head and one of the things that's helped me most over the years is journalling.

I haven't done it daily, and there have been times when I haven't picked up a journal for a few months, but I always come back to it.

Why? Writing out my thoughts, feelings, ideas has enabled me make sense of what is going on, see patterns of behaviours that need to change, prove my resilience to myself. It has helped me connect to who I am and why I might be reacting the way I am and so much more.

If you're not used to journaling it can be a bit daunting. Pinterest and Instagram are full of gorgeous looking journals (and yes I do like gorgeous looking notebooks), but it doesn't have to be that way.

Everyone I know who journals finds huge benefits in it, but not everyone journals and not everyone knows where to start.

That's why I put together this handy guide on how to use journalling to help you get to know yourself better, to move forward with things you want, to be productive and to stop feeling overwhelmed all the time.
